oil paintings
Artist's Statement
I strive to evoke a sense of passion and intrigue through my work. I use a range of techniques, thickly applied oil paints and pastels, and a vivid palette to create dynamic compositions of places and experiences that inspire happiness, memories, and reflection. I have been a life-long student of fine art and find joy in exploring all that is possible with oil paint. I received my Certificate in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Spring 2009 and show my work in local galleries and exhibitions.
Reach out to arrange a time to visit my art studio at Kimball Arts Center, a creative hub in Chicago next to the 606 Trail, where Logan Square meets Humboldt Park. You can contact me at tiffany@stronskyart.com or on my mobile: 773-490-4554.

Opening Reception: October 3, 5-9 pm
Oliva Gallery - 3816 W Armitage Ave
Oliva Gallery presents artist Tiffany Stronsky debuting Found in Place, an exhibition of new oil paintings that explore the layered experience of home, memory, and belonging through bold abstraction and expressive color. With Found in Place, Stronsky turns her attention to the overlooked beauty of everyday surroundings—neighborhood gardens, familiar trees, shifting shadows, and porches awash in golden hour light. Rather than depict these scenes literally, she renders them through a richly intuitive process: vivid oil paint applied in layers, gestural brushwork, and textured mark-making that invites viewers to discover their own meaning in the work.
Original Art: My paintings are available for pick-up, local delivery, or shipping outside of Chicago. Let me know if you see something of interest on my website, Facebook page, or on Instagram. We can arrange a visit to the studio to show work live, local delivery, or shipment.
Risk-free Commissions: If you see something you like, but prefer a different size, or subject, let me know. We can discuss what you are looking for—ideal size, palette, and price. I enjoy working from ideas for inspiration— be it your favorite travel destination, restaurant, or nature scene. I’ll share updates along the way to be sure the painting is all that you envision.
