Tiffany Stronsky, originally from St. Louis, Missouri, has lived in Chicago since 1994.
Employing a range of techniques, thickly applied impasto varied by quick brush strokes, a vivid palette and unusual cropping, Tiffany creates dynamic and provocative compositions of daily life. Her studio is located in The Cornelia Fine Arts Building on the near Northwest side of Chicago. She regularly shows her work in local exhibitions and festivals.
Tiffany received her Certificate in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Spring 2009.
I strive to evoke a sense of passion and intrigue through my work. My paintings feature a combination of bright colors and unpredictable compositions to create thought-provoking results.
I enjoy working with everyday scenes and subject matter and portraying them with new perspective and vigor. A primary theme of my work is the complex, modern figure in urban settings. Inspired by classic figure compositions, I draw upon multiple influences to convey today's intricate, multi-layered sense of self and life.
